I am starting a new healthy eating challenge. There was a time a few years ago that I started a healthy diet. I always felt great and had tons of energy. I still eat a very healthy diet, but I want to begin eating the way I used to. So, below are a list of things I will be avoiding. In addition I will be posting my menu every day as well as recipes for what I cook.

1. Excess Dairy
3. Added Salt
5. Trans Fats
1. Brown Rice
3. Egg Whites
5. Greek Yogurt
Part of the diet is eating 3 meals a day and 2 healthy snacks between meals. This is to maintain a healthy metabolism and keep blood sugar stable to avoid food cravings. Also I will be allow myself one “cheat” meal per week. In addition I will be drinking the suggested amount of water each day.
I am doing this not just to engage in a healthier lifestyle, but also to help me get on a better schedule during the day. I work from home and it is hard to stay on schedule. I know that this will help me manage my time, have more energy and be more focused.
